Personal Disclosure and Statement

On Tuesday night, December 9, 2025, I was sworn in as a member of the Newton City Council. Effective at that time, this forum and the attendant website (newtoncitizensforum.net) will necessarily change. As a member of Council, my obligations to and interaction with the citizens will be viewed in such a light. While my rights of free speech as a citizen will not change, out of respect for the citizens of Newton and the governmental entity itself, you will likely notice a difference in presentation of my thoughts. I will attempt at all times to differentiate between my speech as a citizen and my speech as a city representative. What will not change is my dedication to open government, accountability, responsibility and dedication to the best interests of the City. Thank you.
